Operations Manager

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Operations Manager will serve as administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer at RJL Solutions as well as be responsible for the daily business operations. Efforts include:

  • Providing high-level customer service to all clients of RJL Solutions;

  • Answering and returning phone calls and email;

  • Managing calendars and scheduling meetings;

  • Maintaining and implementing processes for day-to-day office operations;

  • Managing the financial operations of RJL Solutions including invoicing, purchasing, depositing checks, and budget management;

  • Improving the existing procedures for outgoing and incoming resources and track inventory for the organization;

  • Communicating with the general staff on the CEO’s behalf and coordinating logistics with high-level meetings both internally and externally;

  • Assisting in the development of communications initiatives for RJL Solutions including monthly newsletter, weekly bill tracking reports and updates during legislative session, blog and social media posts, etc.;

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Office management or administrative assistant experience

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Ability to communicate professionally with local media, community leaders, and political representatives

  • Relationship-building skills and success in developing rapport with clients

  • Ability to work with and navigate QuickBooks or other related software

  • Level of expertise in finance, accounting and financial management

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and some Adobe products

  • Strong organization and time management skills and ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of detailed work with conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to write and edit a variety of materials

Graphic Design Intern

Department: Strategic Communications

Position Type: Part-time

Duration: June 1-August 31, 2019

Location: Terre Haute, IN

Salary: Stipend TBD


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position serves as support to the Strategic Communications department in the areas of web design, graphic design, and other design needs. The position provides a flexible work schedule and environment that is equipped to provide unique experiences in marketing and community development. It will provide opportunities to manage and create content for RJL Solutions and its clients. Duties will include the production of various design projects:

  • Web Design

  • Logo Design

  • Brand Elements

  • Print Pieces

  • Videos

  • Social Media Content

  • Advertising Creatives

  • E-Communications

  • Other Special Projects as Designated

QUALIFICATIONS AND PREFERRED SKILLS

Current student pursuing (or recent graduate with) a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing, or related field of study, who has excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as experience in the following:

  • Adobe Illustrator

  • Various web content management systems

  • iMovie or other video editing software

ADDITIONAL NOTES

Chosen applicant must be willing to use their own laptop (RJL Solutions can provide software, if needed). Intern is expected to work 10-20 hours each week. Some projects may be completed outside of the office on the intern’s own time. This position has the opportunity to become a full-time salary position.
