TERRE HAUTE, Ind.– RJL Solutions announced today that former Indiana State Senator and Executive Director of the Indiana Office ofEnergy Development Jon Ford will join the firm's leadership team as Chief Economic Development Officer, bringing extensive experience in public policy, economic development and regional collaboration.

As Chief Economic Development Officer, Ford will help leadRJL Solutions' economic development efforts while providing strategic advocacy and advisory services to clients across multiple industries. His addition represents a significant investment in the firm's continued growth and its commitment to delivering results for communities, businesses and organizations throughout Indiana and beyond.

"Jon Ford is an exceptional addition to our team and represents the caliber of leadership we are committed to building at RJLSolutions," said Rachel Leslie, Founder and CEO. "He brings a unique understanding of the relationship between public policy, economic investment and community development. His ability to bring people together, understand complex challenges and move opportunities forward will be invaluable to our clients."

A Natural Connection Built Through Years of Regional Leadership

Founded in Terre Haute nearly a decade ago, RJL Solutions has grown from its West Central Indiana roots into a consulting firm serving clients across Indiana and nationally, with offices in Terre Haute, Indianapolis, Evansville and Washington, D.C.

Ford's professional career has followed many of the same priorities that have shaped the firm's growth.

As a state senator representing Vigo, Clay and Sullivan counties from 2014 to 2023, Ford was closely involved in issues affecting the region's economic future. Ford is also a former chair of the Wabash River Regional Development Authority, where he helped advance regional investment priorities, infrastructure improvements and collaborative economic development initiatives.

RJL Solutions has worked extensively alongside regional partners to support those same efforts, including regional planning, project development and strategies to attract public and private investment.

"While this is an exciting announcement for our company, the professional alignment is one that has developed over many years," Leslie said. "Jon understands where our firm started, the communities that helped build our foundation and the statewide opportunities we are pursuing today. We share a commitment to building stronger communities and creating opportunities that deliver lasting economic value."

Expanding Economic Development and Strategic Advisory Capabilities

Most recently, Ford served as Executive Director of the Indiana Office of Energy Development under Governor Mike Braun, continuing his career in statewide leadership and public service.

His experience in the Indiana General Assembly, regional economic development, private industry and state government provides a broad perspective on the opportunities facing Indiana's economy.

As Chief Economic Development Officer at RJL Solutions, Ford will focus on economic development strategy, investment attraction, infrastructure, public-private partnerships and strategic advocacy across a variety of sectors.

"I am sincerely grateful to Governor Braun and his administration for the opportunity to serve Indiana and contribute to the state's long-term priorities," said Ford. "It has been a privilege to work alongside dedicated public servants and industry leaders focused on strengthening Indiana's economic competitiveness."

"As I look toward the next chapter of my career, I'm excited about the opportunity to work from outside government to help communities and businesses turn economic development priorities into real projects and meaningful investment. Indiana is positioned for tremendous growth, and success will require strong partnerships between the public and private sectors. I've known Rachel and the RJL Solutions team for years, and I respect the organization they've built and the results they continue to deliver. I'm looking forward to being part of that work."

Investing in the Next Chapter of RJL Solutions

Ford's addition comes as RJL Solutions continues strengthening its leadership team and expanding its capabilities in government relations, economic development, public affairs and strategic advisory services.

With offices in Terre Haute, Indianapolis, Evansville and Washington, D.C., the firm continues investing in experienced professionals who understand the increasingly complex relationship between policy, business and economic growth.

"We have been very intentional about the team we are building and the direction of our company," Leslie said. "The needs of our clients continue to evolve, and so does our responsibility to bring the right experience and leadership to the table. Jon's addition is a significant piece of that investment."

"RJL Solutions has always believed that meaningful progress happens when good people work together around a shared vision. We are excited about what Jon brings to our team, but even more excited about what we can accomplish together for the communities and clients we serve."
