As quality of life became a central focus for talent attraction and economic growth, Indiana launched the Regional Economic Acceleration and Development Initiative (READI) to invest in transformative regional projects.
Communities across the state competed for limited funding, requiring regions to present comprehensive, collaborative and high-impact plans. For West Central Indiana, this meant aligning priorities across six counties and developing a competitive proposal capable of securing significant investment.
RJL Solutions was engaged by the Wabash River Regional Development Authority to lead the development of a regional plan on behalf of West Central Indiana.
The plan focused on key areas including workforce, tourism and talent attraction and retention, and ultimately included 23 projects across the six-county region.
RJL facilitated coordination among the RDA, local leadership, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation and project stakeholders to align priorities and build a cohesive, competitive proposal. This process ensured that each project contributed to a broader regional vision while meeting the expectations of the READI program.
West Central Indiana successfully secured significant funding through the READI program.
