West Central Indiana
West Central Indiana has never before created nor implemented a branding initiative for the region. Interest was expressed through a series of meaningful conversations that determined the need for regional partnerships and research on regionalism. Additional research discovered the need for public opinion of West Central Indiana and a possible branding initiative. This research project focused on discovering the strengths and weaknesses of West Central Indiana and determining areas of improvement and opportunity. This report provides findings from five focus groups and three surveys conducted and created with the intention to provide answers to county and community leaders.
Key findings include:
1. The percentage of college students who would stay in the region after graduation.
2. The description and opinions of residents from the region on the six county area, as a whole.
3. Aspects small business owners need the region to provide to improve their profits.
